In this episode Dr. Maxwell Cooper interviews Richard J. Brown, M.D., a plastic surgeon in private practice in Scottsdale, AZ. Dr. Brown gives an overview of the field of plastic surgery and the focus of his current practice. He tells the story of how he started his private practice out of training and built up a reputation and referral base in his community. Dr. Brown also discusses how he has built a massive following on social media (700k on YouTube, 100k on IG, 7M on TikTok) through aiming to inspire and educate people about plastic surgery, medicine, health, wellness, and pursuing their dreams.  He discusses the business side of private practice and some of his newest business ventures in addition to his practice. Lastly, Dr. Brown gives advice to medical students and residents considering the field of plastic surgery and how they can make themselves competitive applicants.
